Traffic Tickets in New Jersey, Where It’s Never Fun to Drive

Traffic tickets happen. Sometimes fairly, sometimes unfairly. Oftentimes you are given the option to just pay for the traffic violation(s) and accept the fines and penalties. However, don’t just pay it! If you just pay it, you may be hit with extra penalties and motor vehicle points without even realizing it. If you simply plead guilty and pay, you will likely end up paying maximum fines, penalties, and possibly receive points on your driving record. This may result in higher automobile insurance premiums for you and/or surcharges from the MVC (formerly DMV).

Consultation with an attorney can save you money in the long run. Having an attorney represent you for your motor vehicle violations will likely result in lower fines, lower points or no points, or possible dismissal of one of more tickets depending on the situation. Don’t do yourself a disservice. An attorney will make sure your rights are protected, and that you receive the most fair result.
